THE DESIGNERÂ
Tamegroute, a small village in southern Morocco, is home to seven families of artisans who have been practicing pottery for centuries, passing down techniques and secret alchemy recipes from generation to generation. The artisans of Tamegroute source all their raw, natural materials locally and the clay is dug up and collected from nearby palm groves. The distinctive green or yellow glaze is  achieved from a mixture of minerals and particular rock found in local mines in a secret recipe. It is said to contain a mixture of manganese, silica, cobalt, copper, and barley flour but has yet to be replicated anywhere else in the world.
